MARCENE EDITH HULSE, 69

Marcene Edith Hulse, 69, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. 
Marcene was born on Sept. 2, 1943 in Shelley to Devon Hyrum and Edith Morris Fowler.  She was raised primarily in the Blackfoot area and attended schools in Blackfoot and Ashton. 
On Sept. 13, 1962 Marcene was married to Ralph Hulse in Blackfoot.  Their union was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple in 1966. Ralph preceded Marcene in death on Feb. 21, 2012. 
Marcene and Ralph made their home in the Blackfoot area where they raised four children, Ralph, Lou Anne, Donnie, and Cathy.  Through the years Marcene worked for Nonpariel, Lambert Produce and also provided day care in her home. 
Marcene was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed doing genealogy work and name extraction.  She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and enjoyed hosting and attending Tupperware parties.  Her hobbies included tri-chem painting, crossword puzzles and other word games, camping, cooking and caring for her pet dogs. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life and she cherished the time spent with them.
Marcene is survived by two sons, Ralph Devon (Barbara) of Blackfoot, and Donnie (Rhonda) Hulse of St. Anthony; two daughters, Lou Anne Edith (Byron) Williams and Cathy Lee Hulse, both of Thomas; a sister, Nona (Clayton) Perry of Sugar City,; two brothers, Willard (Patricia) Fowler of Blackfoot and Norman (Linda) Fowler of Idaho Falls; five grandchildren and one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; her parents; two brothers Jack and Lamar,;and an infant sister Betty Carol.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling in Blackfoot.  A viewing will be conducted on Wednesday from 6 to 8p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday morning.
Interment will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery at 2 p.m.
