Margaret A. Williams, 73, of Pocatello, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Emeritus at Highland Hills from natural causes.
She was born Aug. 12, 1938 to Pearl L. and Josephine Loe in Greeley, Colo. Her family moved to Pocatello when she was a small child. She attended schools in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1956. She married Douglas D. Williams in 1957 and was later divorced.
Margaret began working at then Mountain Bell Telephone Company soon out of high school and rejoined the company after starting her family and moving to Blackfoot. She retired from US West after 30 years of service. Her job took her to several cities over the years but she always pushed to be at home in Southeast Idaho.
She enjoyed her wonderful friends and especially spending time with her three granddaughters and recently arriving great-grandson. In later years she enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center in Pocatello.
She is survived by her son Thomas S. Williams of Beaverton, Ore., and daughter Jill M. (Kirk) Tillotson of Moreland; three granddaughters Jennifer, Melissa, and Ashley, one great-grandson Kayden and an aunt, Mary Cleaver of Pocatello.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother James Loe.
A gathering at a future date will take place to celebrate her life.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello.
