Margie Kathrine Wells, 83, of Thomas, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at her home.
She was born April 6, 1929 in Thomas to Edward Joseph Goodwin and Margaret Mary Johnson.Â She lived in the Blackfoot and surrounding areas of Springfield, Pingree, and Thomas for most or her life.Â Margie attended school at the Wilson School in Thomas and graduated from Thomas High School.Â
On Sept. 17, 1947, she married her sweetheart Glen Lamar Wells in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.Â Margie served her family, church, and community.Â She always gave her best. Her highest priority in life was her family.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Ed and by her brother-in-law Larry Thomas and sister-in-law Joyce Goodwin.
She is survived by her husband, Glen of Thomas; sons:Â Dale (Dana) Wells of Grantsville, Utah: Brent (Nina) Wells of Gresham, Ore.; Kent (Nancy) Wells of Blackfoot; Trent Wells of Thomas; Hal (Ronna) Wells ofÂ Erda, Utah; and Jeffrey (Charlotte) Wells of Pingree; daughter, Glenna (Don) Gale of Kennewick, Wash.; brothers: Dale (Colleen) Goodwin of Richfield, Utah; Newell (Launa) Goodwin of Blackfoot; and Eddie Goodwin of Pingree; sisters: Billie Thomas of Moreland and Kay (Robert) Harper of Kentucky; 29 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.Â
Our family would like to thank all of Mom's special caregivers.You all worked so tenderly with her.Â Thank you to the Blackfoot Home Health and Hospice and the Bingham Memorial Rehab Center Staff Members.Â You were her ministering angels.Â
The family will meet with friends Thursday, Sept. 6, from 7-9 p.m.Â at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, and one hour prior to the funeral service at the Thomas Church.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at the Thomas 4th WardÂ LDS Chapel.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
