Marilyn Chandler Walters Marlow, 63
Marilyn, 63, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, after a battle with cancer.
Marilyn was born Feb. 10, 1951 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Ross and LaFay Chandler. She spent her childhood years in Sterling until the family moved to Wapello.
She married Robert Walters on July 25, 1968, and they had two children, Ricky and Connie. Robert passed away on Sept. 18, 1978 from a sudden brain aneurism.
Marilyn worked at various potato warehouses and eventually worked her way into a position with the Idaho State Inspection Service as a supervisor. She married Forrest Marlow in 1986, and later divorced.
She then lived for a time in Spokane, Wash. After moving back to Blackfoot, she met Doyle Cottrell. After she was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, they moved to Quartzsite, Ariz. where she lived out her remaining years in the warmth of the Arizona sun.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Ricky Walters (Ryan Lehinger); her daughter, Connie (Bruce) Saxton and two grandsons, Zach and Jake, all of Spokane, Wash.; her sisters Donna Walters of Groveland, Marla Woodhouse of Firth, Shawna (DeRay) Womack of Kimball and her brother, Dennis Chandler of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and LaFay Chandler; her grandson, Nathan Walters; brother, Boyd Chandler, and sister, Cynthia Chandler.
Marilyn wanted to be cremated and will be interned at the Firth Cemetery.
The family would like to invite the public to participate in a celebration of her life at Pinedale Lanes, Saturday, July 19, from 4 to 11 p.m.
