Mary A. Taylor, 89, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, February 27, 20112 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
She was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Lorenzo, the daughter of Edward Hill and Mary Bates Hill.
Mary graduated from Rigby High School.
On March 4, 1947, she married Donald S. Taylor in Dillon, Mont.Â He preceded her in death on April 21, 1991.
She has lived in Blackfoot since 1957.
Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She worked as a lab technician at American Potato and retired after 38 years.Â She enjoyed dancing and camping.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Taylor, Keith (Penny) Taylor, Max (Denise) Taylor, and Tim Taylor, all of Blackfoot; one sister, Mable Greenwell of California: 14 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, sons, Kent Taylor and Dewain Taylor, daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Taylor, 11 brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
