Minerva  Osborne, 80

Minerva Osborne, 80, of Gibson passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Minerva was born Oct. 6, 1931 in Fort Hall to James Osborne Sr. and Jesse Sequints Osborne. She attended Stewart Indian School in Carson City, Nev., until the 10th grade and later received her GED at the age of 50.
Minerva held various jobs for the tribe. In her free time she enjoyed traditional hand games, Bingo, beadworking, camping and watching basketball.  Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and her Native American traditions.
She is survived by her loving children, Claudeo (Anna) Broncho, James Tone, Lorainne Eschief, Melissa (Hobby) Hevewah; sister, Ivalee Osborne; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Minerva was preceded in death by brothers, Meldon Osborne, Franklin Osborne, Floyd Osborne, Clyde Osborne, James Osborne, Enos Osborne and Dwight Osborne; and sisters, Louida Osborne and Flora Osborne.
A Traditional Sunrise Service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012. A Traditional Native American burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Gibson Cemetery.
Minerva will be taken to her residence on West Ferry Butte Road at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 and remain there until her funeral service at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot.
Family will meet with friends and family until 8 p.m. after the funeral service.
