Daniel Ray Korth, 59, of Blackfoot, Idaho, affectionately known as Dangerous Dan
Korth, passed away at high Noon, with his boots on after a good fight with cancer on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the home of his sister with his family at his side in Blackfoot.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Dan was born July 6, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho to Donald Herman Korth and Averal Elaine James.¬† He attended¬† elementary school in Groveland and attending Blackfoot High School.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† He has lived all over the western United States as a sheep sheerer, but always called Challis home.¬† He was a member of the Sheep Sheer Union.¬† He has appeared in many movies and documentaries on sheering sheep.¬† He also worked in the logging industry, was a professional guide, taking people into the back country. Hunting was his passion and in
his free time he loved to have spirited conversations with people.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Dan is survived by his son, D.R. Korth of Ontario, Oregon; daughter, Delilas Korth of Oregon; brothers and sisters, Donald (Gayla) Korth of West Jordan, Douglas (LeeAnn) Korth of South Jordan, Deanna Thomas of Blackfoot, Delma (Larry) Shaw of Ammon, Debby (Rick) Roney of Washington, David Korth of Lewisville, Deloyce Corona of California, Delilas (John) Corbett of Virginia and Dewayne (Judie) Korth of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Donnarae; grandparents, Oakley and Hazel James and Herman and Nanny Korth.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† The family would like to thank Alliance Hospice of all there help and care with Danny.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† A memorial service get together with family and friends will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the David Korth residence, 511 N. 3400 E. in Lewisville, Idaho.¬† A memorial service in Danny‚Äôs memory will also be held in Challis, Idaho on September 22, 2012 with details to be announced at a later date.¬† Arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot.¬† Condolences may be sent to the family at firstname.lastname@example.org.
