OBITUARY - ROSEMARY SUSAN SJOSTROM, 65

Rosemary Susan Sjostrom, 65, of Salt Lake City, Utah and formerly of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rosemary was born on March 5, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Merrill William Curtis (Utah’s 1958 Top Pop) and Leola Jex Freshwater. She was raised in the Salt Lake area and graduated from Granite High School.
On September 20, 1968 Rosemary married Dwain Sjostrom in the Salt Lake Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. They made their home in Blackfoot where they raised their five children, three sons and two daughters.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the primary, as ward librarian, and as a youth dance instructor. Rosemary was primarily a homemaker but in later years worked part time as a custodian for many offices throughout the area.
Rosemary enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery work, photography, scrapbooking, homemaking, camping with her family, working in the yard and making things for her children and grandchildren. She played the harmonica, violin, singing, dancing, swimming directed and acted in ward plays, She also loved to write and draw. Her family was her main source of happiness. She loved and enjoyed the time spent with them and was very devoted to them.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Dwain, two daughters, Sheila (Anthony) Ames of Vancouver, Washington, and Tonya (Brent) Saxton of Brigham City, Utah; two sons, Mark (Sarah) of Fort Hood, Texas, and Ben (BreeAnn) of Blackfoot, Idaho; four brothers, Nolan (Mardell) Curtis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kay (Gayle) Curtis of Annabella, Utah, DeLon (Karen) Curtis of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sterling (Terry) Curtis of Goffstown, New Hampshire; five sisters, Verna (Rex) Cheney of Buhl, Idaho, Patsy Jarvis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ellen Clark (Ben Morris) of Bellingham, Washington, Debbie (Doug) Hathaway of Fairview, Utah, and Lealeth (Keith) Miller of Magna, Utah; and twelve grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son Daniel and her beloved Parents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Riverside LDS Church with Brett Williams of the Riverside 2nd Ward conducting. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. At the Hawker Funeral Home and again on Wednesday at the church for 1 hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
