Osborne pitches Blackfoot past Madison, 5-0

REXBURG — Russell Osborne struck out five and scattered six hits to pace Blackfoot to a 5-0 High Country Conference win over Madison in baseball action on Thursday.
Cole Manzanares led the Broncos (8-7, 2-3) with three runs batted in. Zach Later was 3-for-4 to lead the Broncos offensively. Osborne had two solid hits as Blackfoot recorded nine hits.
"This was Russell's second complete game in a row," said coach Jeff Dahle. "He's really getting strong and stronger as season goes on.
"The boys played good team baseball," Dahle said. "Good defense behind good pitching makes it easy to win a baseball game."
The two teams will play again today, this time in Blackfoot, with first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
