BLACKFOOT — When Paisley Studios moved down the street to a bigger space at their new location at 100 W. Bridge St., photographers Heather Parmenter and Kayla Evans decided to try something new.
The new studio features a full-service salon upstairs and a photography studio downstairs.
"We just wanted to do something different," Parmenter said. "We wanted to fill the space."
The salon has three stations manned by Brittney Chavez, Kristina Gregory and Laurie Shawver. They do hair, makeup and nails.
Having the salon upstairs has helped Parmenter and Evans show off their work to potential clients and creates a fun and inviting atmosphere in the studio. The five women work together to grow their client bases.
Parmenter and Evans started demolition on the interior of the building in March, completely remodeling the former daycare to create an open, modern atmosphere. The new studio opened in June, but work on the remodel continued throughout the summer months. They will have their official grand opening and ribbon cutting Thursday at noon.
The ribbon cutting is being held in conjunction with their third annual Holiday Boutique. The boutique will be open today and tomorrow from 2-7 p.m. at Paisley Studios. There will be several craft vendors selling goods.
Paisley Studios is located at 100 W. Bridge St. They are open Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. To book photos or schedule a salon appointment call 785-3411.
