BLACKFOOT — Johnathan Franklin Jackman, age 33, was before Bingham County District Judge Jon Shindurling Tuesday and found guilty of a probation violation.
Jackman has been accepted into the Wood Pilot Project that is run out of Bonneville County by Judge Shindurling.
The Wood Pilot Project is an intensive drug rehabilitation program that begins with 30 to 90 days of incarceration.
In September 2010, Jackman was charged with having possession of a controlled substance. His charge was enhanced because he was charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Those charges were dismissed on a motion of the prosecutor.
Because of the probation violation, Jackman has been assigned to treatment diversion, the Wood Pilot Project. He was credited with the 69 days of time served.
Should Jackman violate his probation, he could have his jail sentence reinstated. His jail sentence is not less than two years and not more that five years in the Idaho State Penitentiary.
He must pay his fines that total $1,308.50.
