Paul was born Sept. 21, 1941 in Fremont, Mich., to Melville Tod and Miriam Stewart Woods. He was raised in Michigan and graduated from high school in South Lyon, Mich. Together, they lived in many places around the world while Paul served in the Air Force and later worked for Motorola’s International Division. While stationed in Hawaii with the Air Force, Paul completed several temporary duty missions in Vietnam and also completed his master’s degree in Business Management. Working for Motorola took Paul and his family to many places, including Beirut, Lebanon, where he sold communications equipment. After a time, he and OraLee relocated their family back to Idaho where they settled down on a small family farm.
Once in Idaho, Paul worked for Kirkham Auto Parts for a couple of years. He spent the remainder of his career working for Production Credit Association/Idaho Ag Credit before retiring due to Parkinson’s disease. Paul found his career in banking especially fulfilling. Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully as Scoutmaster, financial clerk, home teacher and Sunday School teacher.
Paul and OraLee solemnized their marriage in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 10, 1986.
