Randy Rodriguez, Jr., 3-day-old infant son of Analicia Contreras and Randy Rodriguez Sr., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Randy was born Sept. 17, 2011, in Blackfoot.
Though his days were short on this earth, he was loved and left a lasting imprint on the hearts of his family.
He is survived by his parents, Analicia Contreras and Randy Rodriguez Sr. of Blackfoot.; grandparents, Michelle Hernandez and Rene Contreras of El Salvador; Suzie Crow and Mike Rodriguez Sr. of Blackfoot,; great-grandparents, Tina and Raul Mejia, Evelina Rodriguez and great-great-grandma Aneta Lawrence; aunts Theresa Rodriguez-Yupe (Jacob) of Blackfoot; Melody Rodriguez (Michael) of Pocatello; uncles Matthew L. Cota of Blackfoot; Mike Rodriguez Jr. of Denver, Colo.; Anthony â€śTonyâ€ť Cota (Melissa) of Blackfoot;, and Jared Contreras of Pingree; cousins James, Rayâ€™licia, Annalisa, Angelica Yupe, George Tindore, Gabriel Rodriguez, Murielle Contreras, Kyle, Kelsie and Coby Cota.
He was preceded in death by Jesse Rodriguez, Priscilla Crow, Alice George Crow, Ray Crow, Bessie Crow-LaVatta, Agnes Larkin, Oren George, Glenn E. Hardin, Ruben Hardin, Jim Lawrence and Erika Contreras.
A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at the Riverton LDS Church with Bishop Kelly Hurst conducting.
Randy will be taken out to his grandmother Suzie Crowâ€™s home on Ferry Butte Road and the corner of Racehorse Lane.
A traditional burial service will be held at 3 p.m. at the Gibson Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
