Are you ready for a Renaissance Fair?
Come join the fun at 6:30 o'clock tonight on stage at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center (BPAC), 870 S. Fisher in Blackfoot.
Thirteenth century England is alive and well in Blackfoot. Banners and stained glass windows are hung on stage. Music, costumes, color, food and fun fill the evening.
The annual celebration incorporates the talents of the three choirs at Blackfoot High School (BHS)—Concert, Acappella and Madrigal.
Bart and Dana Brown are the king and queen of these festivities.
Not only do the choir members serve the food, they perform for their guests. The guests receive a surround sound experience.
"This used to be performed with the ISU choirs in Pocatello," said Andrew Hames, BHS Choral Director. "After ISU decided not to continue the Renaissance Fair, Susan Mann, then BHS choir director, brought the Renaissance Fair to Blackfoot in 2004."
Parents and students have worked to make this production what it is today, Hames said.
Hames has been the choral director at BHS since 2006.
Tickets cost $18 each and are available by calling Deb at (208) 339-3974 or Andrew at (208) 705-5625 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proceeds raised from the Renaissance Fair go to support the BHS Choral Department.
"We have plenty of seats left," said Hames. "We'd love to fill it up."
