Robert Lake, 70, of Blackfoot passed away at his home following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 4, 2012.
He was born on July 11, 1941 in Downey to LaVell Lake and Lanabelle Fox Lake. Robert graduated from Marsh Valley High School and then went on to serve in the US Air Force until he was honorably discharged on Nov. 4, 1959. He lived in Arizona for 32 years where he worked as a truck driver in the copper mine in Miami. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, as well as doing yardwork, reading books and being with his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Martha; a daughter, Saniah; a son Jayson of Blackfoot, as well as from a prior marriage, Lori and Tim Walley of Utica, Kent.,; Beverly Enriquez of Phoenix, Ariz. and James and Kim Lake of Aura, Colo.; Shawn of Boise; and a brother Dall Ray and Linda Lake of Idaho Falls and two sisters, Janiece Barney and Linda Benette of Downey. He has 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
