Robert Rory Hansen, 24, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Robert was born on Oct. 16, 1989, in Blackfoot, Idaho.Â He was the youngest of three children of Garth Kay Hansen and Leslie Ann Waters Hansen.
Robert attended Blackfoot High School where he played football with friends and won state football his senior year in 2008. After graduating high school Robert attended ISU.
He was a hard worker and was currently working over in North Dakota laying carpet in the expanding industry over there. Robert had a lot of people in his life that loved him and thought of him as a second son and brother. He touched many lives, especially the lives of Kirsten and Richard Leavitt, Dillon and Clayton Peterson, and Alonzo â€śBugâ€ť Smith.Â
Robert was an avid snowboarder and skateboarder. He loved football, baseball, and doing any type of outdoor activity. Spending time with family and friends were Robertâ€™s favorite things to do.
He is survived by his mother, Leslie Hansen, of Blackfoot; his son, Koleson; his brother, Drew Hansen of Blackfoot; sister Alexis Tucker of Idaho Falls; grandparents Max and Ann Waters of Blackfoot; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and many close friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Garth Kay Hansen, and his grandparents LaMar and Lila Hansen.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. Funeral services will be held the following day at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Hawker Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery. Â
