“We here at Rockymountain Machinery Company are all very excited about joining C & B Operations, LLC, and look forward to a continued strong presence in the local agricultural community”, said company president and CEO Darwin Harrington.
Rockymountain Machinery Company’s roots date back to 1963 when Howard Harrington and his partners Lawson and Lambert started Rockymountain Machinery Company, formerly owned by Ray Dyer. Since that time Rockymountain Machinery Company has grown with the community and local area farmers and has supplied John Deere machinery, along with parts and service.
Rockymountain Machinery Company also bought previous John Deere dealerships in Rockford and Pocatello. “Through the years”, said Harrington, “We have strived to have the best service in the valley. We know that service is an action and not a word; it is something we do, not something we say. In thinking ahead, this is going to be a win-win for farmers and for our employees. We will be able to increase service in even a more timely manner and the potential for growth opportunities afforded to our employees, will definitely enhance their lives.”
C & B Operations, LLC owns and operates 20 John Deere dealerships in South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, including Bonneville County Implement in Idaho Falls and Madison County Implement in Rexburg.

Matt Cronin, President and CEO of C & B Operations, LLC said, “Rod Burwell and I, as well as the entire C & B Team, are very excited to bring Rockymountain Machinery Company organization into our dealer group. Rockymountain Machinery Company is comprised of a very strong and dedicated team that has worked hard over the years to build a solid reputation with customers in the market area. We hope to enable continued growth in those customer relationships through a greater selection of equipment as well as additional technical support to increase efficiency in their operations and provide a higher level of service to our customers.”
The sale and transition from Rockymountain Machinery Company to C & B Operations, LLC is subject to John Deere’s approval and is anticipated by the owners to take place in May.
