Roxie Dolores Willey Chapman, 78

Roxie Dolores Willey Chapman, 78, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home.
She was born April 10, 1935 in American Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Elden Willey and Dolores Kidd Willey.
Roxie was a cheerleader while attending school in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen High School.
On Nov. 24, 1954 she married Lional “Dee” Chapman in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings and was a faithful visiting teacher.
Dee met Roxie while she worked at the Barrel, which was owned by Vern Fackrell. She continued to work during their married years at other jobs.  She worked at the Arctic Circle and at a shelter home for neglected, mistreated and abused children.
She enjoyed reading, genealogy and journal writing.
 She is survived by her husband, “Dee” Chapman of Blackfoot; children, Trina (Clyde Butch) DeForest of Blackfoot, Cindy (Craig) Atwood of Blackfoot, Blake (Rhonda “Suzy”) Chapman of Kimberly, Perry (Diane) Chapman of Blackfoot, Brent (Sheri) Chapman of Blackfoot, Tonia (Rolland) Allen of Dickinson, ND. Wendy (Ryan) Southwick of Kanab, Utah;  brother, Milton (Peggy) Willey of Aberdeen;  sisters, Madge (Stan) Harwell of Blackfoot, Joyce Olson of Jerome, Rosalie Bauer of American Falls; 29 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Elden Henry and sister, Marjorie.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Rose LDS Chapel, 403 North 150 West in Blackfoot.  The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church. 
Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery.
