Morning News — Leslie Mielke This is the second year Jeff Stines from Jackson, Wyo., has stored his trailer at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds provides indoor storage for six months at a cost of $6 per linear foot.

BLACKFOOT — During the winter, the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds (EISF) has over 100,000 square feet of indoor storage for vehicles or recreational vehicles.
Included in this list are performance cars, trailers, boats, vans, motor homes, fifth- wheelers, Skidoos and/or "any recreational vehicle you can bring in on a trailer," said Stan Osburn who is part of the EISF maintenance crew.
Storage space is limited and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Storage will be taken from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday.
The one-time charge is $6 per linear foot (measured from the tongue of the vehicle to the end of it) for the entire six months of storage.
Stored vehicles will be released the second week of April.
Allen Jorgensen from Idaho Falls was registering his trailer for storage on Monday.
"It's the best place in town," he said. "[the fee] also gives the fairgrounds something to build on for maintenance on the grounds."
People bring their vehicles from all over—St. Anthony, Jackson, Wyo.; Pocatello and Utah, said maintenance crew member Sandy Young.
This is the second year Jeff Stines from Jackson, Wyo., has stored his trailer at the fairgrounds.
"It's a great deal," he said. "The cost is unbelievable. My trailer is out of the sun and snow and, hopefully, this will extend the life of my trailer."
Speaking of the boats waiting behind him, Stines said, "I passed all these guys on the interstate so I knew there would be a line."
