Score of 296 good for top spot in Blackfoot Golf Course closing social

BLACKFOOT — The team of Hal Nelson, Delynn Morgan, Skyler Young, Nancy Cushman and Mike Johnson won top honors at the Closing Social tournament at Blackfoot Golf Course on Saturday.
They shot a gross 296 to win the top prize by two strokes. Runnersup were Barrett Beck, Doneal Johns, James Carter, Cody Seamons and Brandon McNeil.
Two teams finished with 302s for third and fourth places with Lamar Hagar, Gary Capson, Brent Williams, Calvin Cook and Mike Faler taking the higher place in a card playoff. Travis Day, Lynn Shepherd, Dane Faler, Pete Golinveaux and Jeff Clark were assigned fourth place after the playoff.
Placing fifth were Dave Hagar, Farren Hunt, Pete Becker, Jeff Behrend and Kent Gray.
Earning sixth place money were Rod Flauhaut, Wes Beck, Paula Broadhead, Sam King and Kevin Rupe.
Noel Trejo, Whitney Manwaring, Terry Hopkins, Clair Broadhead and Mike Harris finished seventh.
A total of 135 players competed.
Terry Carlson won the women's closest to the hole contest while Chris Lloyd won the men's contest. Chelsey Dayton was the women's long drive winner with James Carter taking men's honors. Lori Day made the longest putt of the day.
Payoffs ranged from $100 to $25.
