Scott A. Campbell, 59, of Blackfoot,died unexpectedly in Custer County on Aug. 26, 2011.
He was born Nov. 8, 1951, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Charles Edward Campbell, Jr. and Kathryn Erdmann Campbell. His family moved to Idaho Falls when Scott was 11 years old.
He graduated from Skyline High School in Idaho Falls in 1970, after which he joined the US Army. In 1978 he graduated from Idaho State University. He worked for Idaho Transportation Dept. from 1982 until his retirement in 2008.
He loved sled dog sprint racing, winning medals from the International Sled Dog Racing Association in 2001 and 2002 for his four-dog team.
He is survived by his father Charles and sister Lisa of Stanley; a sister Laura in Oregon, a brother Charlie of Clayton; and his partner of 27 years, Marsha Truman of Blackfoot.
