Shelley Police seek suspect vehicle

June 6, 2012

This picture is taken from a surveillance video of the young man who robbed East Idaho Credit Union in Shelley on Tuesday afternoon.

Shelley Police are asking the public to help in locating a white truck. Specifically, it is thought the vehicle is a Ford Ranger with an extended cab, a late 90s, early 2000s model, said Cpl. Kent Swanson.
"We would like to locate the owner of the white truck to question about possible involvement," said Swanson.
About 4 p.m. Tuesday, an unarmed man walked into the East Idaho Credit Union, 418 W. Fir St. in Shelley, passed a note to a teller demanding money. He escaped on foot with an unspecified amount of cash. No one was hurt.
The robbery suspect is a male subject in his late teens or early 20s. He has brown, collar length hair, a slender build and is between 5-feet-10 and 6 feet tall.
A car, reported stolen in Shelley about the same time as the robbery, was recovered behind Hard Times II gas station in Shelley.
A white truck was seen leaving the area shortly after the stolen vehicle, a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo, was abandoned. The stolen vehicle was recovered.
