One thing baseball players learn from a young age is no lead is ever safe.
No matter how many runs your team may score it somehow always seems to be not enough.
The Shelley Russets learned that lesson the hard way Monday in Idaho Falls as they took on the Idaho Falls Grizzlies at Skyline High School.
After putting up four runs in the first inning on a two-RBI single from Stockton Stohl and an RBI double from Colt Johnson, the Russets' bats went cold for the next two innings.
The Grizzlies battled back to tie the game at 6-6 in the fifth before Shelley scored three in the sixth to win game two 9-6, earning a split with the Grizzlies after losing game one 4-2.
