Sonia Thyberg Norris, 47, passed away at her home in Meridian on June 20,2012.
She was born April 27,1965, to Samuel Tad and Roneen Thyberg in Oceanside, Calif.
Sonia lived and worked in Blackfoot for many years. She worked at Bingham Memorial Nursing Home and The Potato Expo. During her time at the Expo she helped out with the 1997 flood in Bingham County, organizing getting food out to most everyone affected by the flood.
Sonia was always so full of life and a natural caregiver. While living in Blackfoot she lived with her mother and youngest brother Rob when her mom was diagnosed with cancer, Sonia was there to take care of her until her passing. Sonia moved to Pocatello and later married Tom Norris. While living in Pocatello she started going to school at ISU and working at Lowe’s.
When her husband Tom was diagnosed with cancer, again Sonia stepped up and put going to school and working on hold to take of him. Sonia never thought twice when it came to helping others.
Sonia and Tom decided to move to Meridian to be closer to his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She loved being a grandma.
