BLACKFOOT — Mountain View Middle School (MVMS) students honored their principals Thursday as part of National Principals Month.
The idea came from the Snake River Junior High, Bonnie Harwood, student council advisor said.
The morning announcement at MVMS declared, “We’re sending our principals to the tropics; please make it like paradise for them.”
In the morning, students greeted the principals with leis, lounge chairs and orange-pineapple drinks.
Student council members had decorated the teachers’ lounge with a tropical theme. For lunch, the principals were served food from the Hong Kong Restaurant.
There was even a tropical breeze provided by a fan in the office.
Student council members and teachers brought treats. Council members checked with the principals each hour to see if they could get anything for them.
