BLACKFOOT — Several local kids have been working for several months on the first TaVaci School of Performing Arts TaVaci Teen mini-musical—"Adventures of a Comic Book Artist."
The show will open tonight and continue Jan. 14, 16 and 17 at the Nuart Theater, 195 N. Broadway at 7 p.m. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
"Adventures of a Comic Book Artist" is a mini-musical based on comic book heroes. Director Breclyn Everett said it is a fun show for the entire family.
"It's about a normal guy who has always dreamed about being a comic book artist," Everett said. "This play is full of superheroes and super villains."
Fourteen teens—the oldest is 15—have been working on the show for several months. The teens were given the freedom to develop their characters and selected their own costumes.
"It's been really fun," Everett said. "It's been a really good experience for all the kids."
The audience is invited to join in on the fun. Those who come dressed in any superhero attire will receive a "super" treat for dressing up.
