Ted 'Teddy' Eric Dunbar, 44
Ted “Teddy” Eric Dunbar, 44, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home.
Teddy was born Jan. 30, 1968 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to George Robert Dunbar and Susan Elaine Morris. He grew up in Devils Lake, N.D., worked in Alaska and lived in Becker, Minn. for a short time. He attended college in Bozeman, Mont.
Teddy married Danielle Wellard for nearly 14 years;they were later divorced.
He worked a combine in North Dakota, as a mechanic on the Blue Wave in Alaska and was a bartender for many years. The job he was proudest of and enjoyed immensely was being a journeyman Ironworker for Local 732. He worked in many states doing this, including Puerto Rico. In his free time he enjoyed playing with his dogs, skiing and loved spending time with his son. He enjoyed being around his many friends.
Teddy is survived by his son, Leslie (Megan Buck) Pearson of Blackfoot; parents, Susan Dunbar and Harlen Jacobson of Becker, Minn., and G.R. and Linda Dunbar of Blackfoot, Idaho; brothers, James Dunbar of Chicago, Ill., Joe Dunbar of Minneapolis, Minn., and Chris Dunbar of Minneapolis and Germany; grandmother, Geradine Jacobson of Minneapolis; and his first grandchild due to be born in September.
He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel W. Pearson.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday March, 23, 2012 and again for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
