Three cited for "spice" possession after search at local retailer
BLACKFOOT — Three individuals have been cited with misdemeanor possession or sale of a synthetic cannabinoid after police issued a search warrant at a local merchant.
The Blackfoot Police Department received information that Hecho en Mexico, located at 1010 W. Bridge St. Ste. K, and served a search warrant at that location. As a result of the search warrant, more than 200 containers of "spice" retailing for around $3,200 were recovered.
Those cited include a sales clerk, Allan Evans, 48, Blackfoot, the owner of the business, Kristi Linares, 49, Blackfoot. Also cited in a separate incident was Jason Lockyer, 34, Blackfoot. All three were cited for possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.
This is a misdemeanor charge and the possible penalty includes a fine not to exceed $1,000 and/or imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed six months.
