Trial recreation highlights Idaho at 150 activities

March 11, 2013

Witness Bessie Croshaw (played by Sharon Sturm) reacts as the bailiff (played by Wayne Brower) takes away the prosecution’s exhibit—a skull and a bullet. The re-enactment of this 1887 murder trial will be performed at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Admission is free, reserve tickets are recommended since there is limited seating in the courtroom. Contact Sara Staub at 782-3160 for tickets.
Besides the trial re-enactment, Bingham County is celebrating Get Territorial: Idaho at 150 this week. All county departments, State Hospital South, Bingham County Historical Society, Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and cities within Bingham County will have displays, photos and unique historical records for public viewing.  The territorial event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. All events are free.
