LOGAN, Utah â€” A former Snake River High School and Utah State University athlete has been named to USU's athletic hall of fame.
Shae Jones-Bair was one of the most decorated woman athletes for the Aggies. She earned All-American honors during her collegiate career.
As a redshirt athlete in 1998, Jones-Bair earned her first All-American honor by finishing eighth in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Her second All-American accolade came at the 1999 NCAA Indoor Championships where she placed fifth in the pole vault.
She placed fourth in the pole vault at the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Championships to earn her third All-American certificate.
In addition to those honors, Jones-Bair was the 2002 Big West Conference champion in the pole vault. That season she set the school record of 13-feet-9 1/4 during the 2000 outdoor season.
