BLACKFOOT — In a plea bargain with the state that resulted in dropping a charge against him of possession of methamphetamine, Firth bar owner Donald Grantley Collet, 46 pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Sentencing was scheduled for April 6 and he was continued free on $25,000 bail.
Collet was arrested Aug. 15 when Bingham County Sheriff’s deputies raided Collet’s Bar following reports of drug dealing. Collet was booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture and deliver after officers found about  12 ounces of marijuana at the bar.
They said the marijuana, with a estimated value of $4,800, was packaged and ready to sell, and they also found a small amount of meth.
He was eventually charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and attempted manufacture of a controlled substance.
At Collet’s preliminary hearing Bingham County Chief Deputy Prosecutor David Hooste dropped the charge against him of intent to manufacture marijuana.
“He had all of the gear to grow marijuana, but didn’t have any plants,” Hooste said.
