BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot School District Zone 1 trustee election is today.
Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. today at Fort Hall Elementary and Donald D. Stalker Elementary at 991 West Center Street in Blackfoot. Three candidates are vying for this school board position. The candidates are incumbent Richard (Rick) Bigler, Jason Stewart and Peter Lipovac. A trustee is elected for a three-year term. To vote, electors must live within the boundaries of Zone 1. The boundaries follow: The Fort Hall Indian Reservation that is part of the Blackfoot School District which follows Blackfoot River as far south as Bingham-Bannock County Line. Within the city limits, Zone 1 includes individuals living on the west side of Camas Street up to where Camas Street intersects Riverton Road. Individuals living on the south side of Riverton Road to Snake River follows Snake River out to Bingham-Bannock County Line.
