BLACKFOOT — Plans for the Blackfoot and Snake River H1N1 vaccination clinics are now set. The two clinics will be combined and are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5 from noon-8 p.m. at the LDS South Stake Center on Riverton Road.
“We are combining the Blackfoot and Snake River pods into one group,” explains Craig Rowland, Director Bingham County Emergency Management Services. “We will not be receiving as many vaccinations as we had hoped, so it just makes sense to hold one pod of vaccinations.” The Blackfoot/Snake River clinic will have 1,000 doses available instead of the 3,000 they had anticipated. “We held the clinic in Firth on Tuesday and everything went just fabulous,” said Rowland. “We had what we had and it had to be enough. 436 vaccinations were given and people were great, everything really ran smooth.” Shelley’s clinic was held Thursday and all 500 doses were distributed by 6 p.m.
