BLACKFOOT — Fort Hall Business Council Chairman Alonzo Coby was elected to his fourth term in office during the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes general election Friday, but incumbents Richard John Kutch Sr. and Marlene Skunkcap went down to defeat.

Former council member Glenn D. Fisher, who was voted out of office in 2007 after serving one two-year term, pulled the most votes of the six candidates, getting 21.53 percent of the votes with his 494.
Coby came in second with 436 votes, followed by Blaine J. Edmo with 395. Fisher, Coby and Edmo will be seated on the council.
Kutch got 367 votes, challenger Aldene J. Pevo got 372 and Skunkcap trailed with 230 votes.

At 295, Gary F. Watson got the highest number of votes among the challengers, followed by Michael L. Dann with 208, Delilah B. George with 155, and Gilbert Teton with 99.
