Vera Lottie Werth, 82, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Bingham County Extended Care Facility.
She was born March 24, 1926 to Arch Allen and Rosalin Capson Findlay. She attended school in Blackfoot and lived there her entire life. On Dec. 11, 1950, she married Robert Werth in Boise. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2004. Vera was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and Cub Scouts for many years. She worked for Sunspiced Potato and retired in 1989. Vera enjoyed quilting, spending time with grandchildren and participated in church athletics in her younger years. She is survived by her children, Kent (Arva) Werth, Klair (Kim) Werth, Kara (Steve) Hill and Kyle Werth all of Blackfoot; sisters, Betty Mullins of Pocatello, Della Werth and Deloris Sorensen both of Blackfoot; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert; sisters, Nida, Ester, and Stella; and a brother, Ted. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. The family will meet with friends on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery. |
