Blackfoot residents found more than frost on the pumpkin when they awakened Sunday morning. This stack of pumpkins outside the former Albertsons Store was covered by the 2-3 inches of snow that fell during the night. The snow melted off the streets through the day, but remained clinging to lawns and trees. Temperatures are predicted to warm to 50 by Tuesday, into the 60s by Wednesday, an indication that Southeast Idaho could be blessed with Indian Summer for a short time.
