Mountain View Middle School students will compete in the FIRST Lego challenge on Saturday with robots they have been building.
FIRST is an acronym which means: For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.
Teams have built robots out of Legos and will be judged in the two categories: robot design, and robot challenge. The robot challenge is a timed event in which teams attempt to score as many points as possible in two and a half minutes.
There will be 14 teams from Blackfoot, Idaho Falls and Pocatello competing this Saturday.
For more information about the competition or other questions contact Mr. Majeske at the middle school at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
