Wallace Dean Hart, 85, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at his home in Blackfoot.
Wallace was born on Oct. 7, 1926 in Idaho Falls to Clarance and Seretta Mae Green Hart. He was raised in the Pocatello area and graduated from Pocatello High School. He attended Idaho State University and later earned an accounting degree from Brigham Young University.
Wallace was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Holland. He later served a mission with his wife in Little Rock, Ark. He also served as a counselor in two different bishoprics. Wallace served in the U.S. Navy for two years during World War II with the majority of his service time spent aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp.
On April 2, 1952, Wallace was married to Faye Capps in Idaho Falls. They made their home in the Las Vegas area where Wallace worked 26 years for the Warthen Buick Agency.
Wallace is survived by his daughters, Janet (Jay) Clark and Helen (Mike) Caldwell, both of Blackfoot; Karen (James) Campbell of Eagle Valley, Nev. and Laure Rosequist of Richfield, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his brothers; Rolland Kl, Victor Blaine, his twin, Allen Don, Clarence Monroe and John Robert.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Military rites will be presented at the cemetery.
