Natasha Watson won the 2012-2013 Miss Sho-Ban Queen crown at the Shoshone-Bannock Indian Festival Friday.
"As Miss Sho-Ban, I will talk to the youth in my community and travel across the country representing my tribe," Watson said. "I will also be able to compete in the Miss Indian World contest."
Five contestants competed for this honor. Competitors each performed a traditional dance, made a traditional dish, took part in the Children's Parade and answered an impromptu question.
Watson performed a traditional woman's dance and made mint tea and fry bread for her traditional dish.
In the grand entry, Miss Sho-Ban Queen followed the elders.
Watson is a 2012 graduate of Blackfoot High School. She is the daughter of Just Little Bear Watson and December Ariwite.
