BLACKFOOT — Forecasters have been predicting wet weather will return the second half of January, and it appears that the area may get to see some rain and snow next week.
The National Weather Service is forecasting that the upper ridge that has contributed to dry, cold weather in Eastern Idaho since late November is expected to move north, allowing a Pacific jet to move in and bring moisture to the Pacific Northwest as early as Sunday and continuing through next week.
Details about how much moisture the storm will bring are vague, but current forecasts call for a chance of precipitation Sunday night and again Tuesday.
