William 'Bill' G. Warner, 75

William “Bill” Garner Warner, 75, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Stanley to Sadie and Garner Warner.  When it was time for Bill to go to school his family moved to Salmon so he could start the first grade.  He graduated from Salmon High School.
On Dec. 10, 1955 he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Mary Higley in Salmon where they resided until 1967 when they moved their family to Blackfoot.
Bill went to work for Kirkham Auto Parts in 1967 and retired in 2000.  He worked his entire career in auto parts sales.  He was a people person and really enjoyed associating with all who came into the store.
Bill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Scouting program.
 His hobbies included Scouting, photography, wood working, fishing and Dutch Oven cooking.  The “light of his life” was his family and he loved times spent together with them.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon of Blackfoot; sons, Steve (Sarah) Warner of Blackfoot and Bill (Lianne) Warner of Ashton; grandchildren Sean, Samantha, Jake (Lindsay), Aubrey (Steven), Megan and Hailey.  Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Leon) Weatherston of Idaho Falls and Afton (Lanny) Anderson of Thornton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home with Bill Sponenburg conducting.  The family will meet with friends and relatives from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the funeral home and again for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
