The Morning News — Jen Wacaser
The last day of winter (according to the calendar anyway) featured a brief but powerful snowstorm on Monday. Workers and school children awakened to ground blizzards and plenty of the white stuff. Icy winds bit through layers of clothing, sending wind chill temperatures into the teens. Parks such as this one near the Blackfoot Airport looked forlorn as no one ventured near until later in the day when the sun came out and the snow disappeared. The weather forecast is for more chilly weather and maybe some snow today with warming temperatures Wednesday through Saturday.
