BLACKFOOT — The special use permit requested by the Blue Ribbon Energy LLC to build a wind farm in a natural resource/agriculture zone on the Goshen bench will be continued to Wednesday, Nov. 10.
Discussion on this wind farm started at 10 p.m. Wednesday and ended at 2:30 a.m. Thursday. P&Z commissioners heard testimony from all the people present. The wind farm decision was continued until Wednesday, Nov. 10.
At the meeting on Nov. 10, P&Z commissioners will present their rationale for there decision, then vote on approving or denying the special use permit.
No more public testimony will be received on this issue.
Blue Ribbon Energy LLC had requested a special use permit (SUP) to build wind turbines in a natural resource/agriculture zone at approximately 1050 E. to 1250 E. and 400 N. to 800 N.
P&Z Department Head Allen Jensen probably half the time was taken up by questions from the P&Z commissioners. Public testimony started about midnight.
