Jeffrey Roy Cox, 55, passed away peacefully on Nov. 13, 2010, in Redding, Calif., from a brain tumor.
He was the youngest of four sons, born to the late Adrian and Nell Cox in Portland, Ore., June 16, 1955. He graduated from high school in Huntington, Ore., where he was a member of the football team.
He married Debra Stillman on July 6, 1976. After the marriage ended in divorce, Jeff remained single. Throughout his life, he worked in various fields including welding, mining, road construction, concrete, and as a heavy equipment mechanic. He enjoyed music, poetry, making people smile, hunting and other outdoor recreation. He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and graduated from Seminary.
He is survived by two children: Carina Cox of Laguna Hills, Calif.; Eli Adrian Cox of West Valley, Utah; and two brothers, Anthony Adrian Cox and David Nelson Cox. He is also survived by one grandchild, Makayla Jaden Blazer, and a grandson is expected soon. He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Gary Lee Cox.
A viewing will be held on Friday Nov. 19, at 11 a.m., followed by funeral services at noon at the Wapello 1st Ward (337 North 200 East, Blackfoot).
To reach Wapello, take Blackfoot/Arco (exit 93) off I-15, go east through Blackfoot to Highway 91; north on Highway 91 for about 6 miles to Wapello Road (350 No.).
Interment in the Taylor Cemetery.
