Dave A. “Buss” Chamberlain, 74, of Blackfoot, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at the Renaissance Assisted Living in Pocatello.
He was born Nov. 11, 1936 in Blackfoot, the son of Arvil P. Chamberlain and Enda G. Going Chamberlain.
Dave lived in Mackay; Blackfoot; San Diego, Calif., and in the Pahsimeroi Valley.
He graduated from Blackfoot High School. He joined the U.S. Marines in 1954 and served until 1956. He was then transferred to the Marine Corps Reserve until 1962.
In 1958, he married Louella Shoells in Blackfoot; they later divorced. He then married Sandra Cobbley White on Jan. 7, 1994, in Blackfoot.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also very involved with the BPO ELKS where he served as Exalted Ruler, District Deputy and State Secretary.
He owned and operated Chamberlain Roofing from 1960-2000.
Dave enjoyed fishing, snow machining, dirt biking and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Blackfoot; a stepson, Brandon D. (Lisa Diriwachter) White of Culp Creek, Ore.; stepdaughters, Dana Lyn White Gillin of Park City, Utah and Cynthia Marie (Tyler) Madsen of Louisville, Kent.; brothers, Karl (Tanya) Chamberlain of Blackfoot; Ralph J. (Deloris) Chamberlain of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Myrna (Tony) Milano of San Jose, Calif.; step-grandchildren, Ruby and River Gillin; Ellie, Kaleb, Max and Kennedi Madsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
