Aline M. Pinkerton, 96, of Idaho Falls passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010,
at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.
Aline was born April 16, 1914 in Leechburg, Penn., to Roy Clarence Riggle and Annie Laurie Cottingham. She attended school in Tarentum, Penn,, graduating from Tarentum High School in 1933.
On July 30, 1935, Aline married Dwight Pinkerton in Tarentum. Together they had three sons, Roy, Lee and Richard.
Aline worked in Du Plate Glass in Creighton. Penn., and at Mildreds Hat Shop in Tarentum, Penn. In her free time, she enjoyed watching TV. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Aline is survived by her sons, Roy (Nancy) of Blackfoot; Lee (Val) of Pickerington, Ohio; and Richard (Della) of Maple Falls, Wash.; sister, Betty Couch of Lower Burell, Penn.; grandchildren, Bill, Kathy, Terri, Ron, Scott, Beth Ann, David, Michael, Amy and Tina; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; parents; sister, Dorothy; brother, Clarence; and great-grandson Christopher.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at email@example.com .
