Wanna Mae Williams, 87 of Blackfoot, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Shelley, the daughter of Lawrence Spencer “Dick” and RDella Mae Johnson Plant.
Wanna was raised and educated in the Blackfoot area.
She married Paul Maurice Williams, Sr. on Nov. 23, 1940, in Reno, Nev.
Wanna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a visiting teacher.
She enjoyed making quilts and visiting with people, especially her family.
Wanna is survived by her sons, Spencer (Andrea) Williams of Wapello, Claude (Gayle) Williams of Moreland, Phillip (Jodi) Williams of Pocatello and Timothy K. Williams of Moreland; daughters, Barbara (Earl) Pogge of Riverside, Sally Williams of Moreland and a granddaughter that she raised, Bobbette Williams of Caldwell; sisters, JoAnne (Eloy) Rameriz of Newark, Calif., and Kay Taylor of Blackfoot; brother, Thomas (Velda) Plant of Richmond, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren with one on the way, and 8 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son (Paul Jr.); two sisters, Cleo and Grace; and one brother, Berlin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Moreland LDS Chapel, 175 North 740 West.
Family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling in Blackfoot and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
Interment will follow in the Moreland Cemetery.
