Elna E. Hunter, 89, of Blackfoot, passed away May 20, 2011, at her home with her family around her.
She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Blackfoot, the daughter of Fredrich and Ida Linkiet Wieland.
Elna was raised in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School.
She married Benjamin Hunter on April 5, 1945, in Seattle, Wash.
They moved to Blackfoot and have resided here since.
Elna worked as a clerk and Dan’s Mighty Market for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, growing her flowers, embroidery and needlepoint.
Elna is survived by her daughter, Nicki (Wallace) Dalton and her son, Joe (Jill) Hunter, both of Blackfoot; grandchildren, Misty (Clint) Law and Kimberly (Mike) Benbow ; and great-grandchildren Colton Dalton and Shaylynn Law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Elmer Wieland; two half-brothers, Charles Wieland and John Lyons; sisters, Lilly Skillet, Erma Rogers and Pauline Meese.
Cremation services are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot..
