William Frew, 81, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born December 18, 1929 in Roberts, Idaho to Stanley W. and Lilly Jardine Frew. Bill was raised in the Roberts area where he received his education, graduating from Roberts High School in 1947. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country with honor.
On January 5, 1969 he married Nevada Hawley in Reno, Nevada. They made their home in Howe, Idaho where Bill ranched and farmed most of his working life.
Bill had a great sense of humor and an amazing memory. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching basketball on the television. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very giving and never complained.
Surviving is a brother, Bud Frew, Roberts, ID; two sisters, Mary Treasure, Vancouver, WA and Mabel Aldous, Blackfoot, ID; two step-sons, Dan Hawley, Ucon, ID and Dave Hawley (Connie), Howe, ID; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Vada, his parents, three brothers, Lorin, John and Dick, step-sons, Darwin , Frosty and Terry Hawley, three grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Little Lost River Bible Church with Pastor Keith Staymon conducting. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Howe Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home of Arco.
