BLACKFOOT — Two people were arrested earlier this week on drug charges after a route traffic stop Monday revealed the man was in possession of several drugs and a lot of cash.
Jerod A. Wilson, 37, of Blackfoot is in the Bingham County Jail on a $250,000 bond after Blackfoot Police found 2.2 ounces of methamphetamine, one ounce of marijuana, 1.2 grams of hashish, drug paraphernalia and $5,710 in cash during a vehicle search on traffic stop on Monday.
The police report indicates that Wilson was arrested by Blackfoot Police officers for driving while impaired about 6 p.m. Monday.
A search warrant was executed Tuesday at Wilson's home west of Blackfoot by Blackfoot Police officers and Bingham County Sheriff's deputies. There they seized more than one pound of marijuana and several firearms.
Jennifer Wilson, 37, was arrested for accessory to drug trafficking Tuesday in relation to Jerod Wilson.
Jerod Wilson has been charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in methamphetamine.
The Bingham County Prosecutor's Office will determine if Jerod Wilson will face additional charges of drug possession, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and habitual violator.
Jennifer Wilson appeared in court and was released on her own recognizance.
